The car pictured above is the my former 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera. The Carrera was the second Porsche that I owned. I purchased it as a "fixer upper". I really enjoyed and miss this car, because it had all the factory performance options one could order. The sport suspension, front and rear spoilers, polished fuchs, sport contoured seats and the list goes on.

When it was time for new brakes, I used PBR ceramic pads, Zimmerman rotors, PEX brake sensors and Genuine OEM Brake hoses from our stock. The ceramic pads are by far the best pads for everyday driving and occasional Porsche club driving events. They give excellent brake control under a wide variety of wet, dry and performance driving conditions. The transmission shifter was updated with new shifter cup, rod and coupler bushings to tighten up the shift pattern. The Carrera 3.2L was tuned with Bosch distributor cap, rotor and platinum spark plugs. I also used Wrightwood Racing graphite valve cover gaskets to seal up the engine when it began to drip.

My first Porsche was a 1974 911 with the 2.7L CIS. My enthusiasm for Porsche flourished after purchasing this car. Soon after buying it, I was tinkering with it virtually every weekend. I found after owning it for about a month that the 2.7 was plagued with the infamous pulled head studs. I ended up pulling out the engine and completely rebuilding it. While searching across the Northwest and throughout the west coast I gathered parts from numerous Porsche Parts suppliers. In doing so I learned by talking to many experts and enthusiasts that there was a market in the NW for Porsche OEM parts.
